Secretariat
The ANEC Secretariat ensures the daily operation of the association and co-ordinates the work and activities of the standing working groups in defined areas of priority. It keeps in close contact with the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Standards Bodies, NGOs and relevant actors. The Secretariat has a full time staff of ten people.
Secretary-General
Stephen Russell holds a Master of Arts in Politics and Applied Economics. He is responsible for running the ANEC Secretariat and coordinating and implementing the policy of ANEC.
Executive Manager

Christiane Frans is responsible for the accountancy of ANEC and supports the Secretary-General in ensuring that ANEC meets its legal obligations.
Managers
Tania Vandenberghe is a bio-chemical engineer and is the Senior Programme Manager in charge of Child Safety and safety of Domestic Appliances (including electrical, gas and machinery appliances).
Chiara Giovannini holds a degree in law. She is Research & Innovation Manager, responsible for the management of the ANEC research & testing projects as well as the sectors of Design for All (Accessibility) and Information Society, including information and communications technologies (ICT).
Nina Klemola holds a Bachelor of Laws degree in English law and a Master of Laws degree in international/EU Contract and Commercial Law. She is the Programme Manager for the fields of Services and Environment.
Ayse Sümer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature. She is the Assistant Programme Manager in charge of Traffic, collaboration with Consumers International, the ANEC website and also acts as Executive Assistant to the Secretary-General.
Assistants
David Bruno has a translation degree in English and Italian and is the Assistant to the sectors of Child Safety and Domestic Appliances.

Michela Vuerich, who holds a Master's degree in International Communication, assists the work of the Environment, Services and Traffic Working Groups.
 Natalia Giorgi holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science and a Master degree in International Management. She assists the work in the Design for All and Information Society Working Groups.
ANEC/BEUC Project Coordinator
 Sylvia Maurer is the ANEC/BEUC Eco-design Project Coordinator, a position created to ensure consumer representation in the implementation of the Eco-design of Energy-using Products (EuP) Directive (2005/32/EC).
